FuelForge ("we", "us", or "our") is an AI-powered fitness and nutrition tracking application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service at fuelforge-app.vercel.app and associated mobile applications.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account Information — email address and password (managed via Supabase Auth) used to create and secure your account.
• Profile Data — age, height, weight, fitness goals, training experience, and preferences you provide during onboarding and in settings.
• Workout Data — exercise selections, sets, reps, weights, workout history, and training plans generated or logged through the app.
• Nutrition Data — food log entries, calorie and macronutrient information, meal photos, and dietary preferences.
• Activity Data — activity data imported from enabled device integrations.
• Usage Data — feature interactions and AI usage counts used for rate limiting and service improvement.

2. How We Use Your Information

• App Functionality — to provide workout tracking, nutrition logging, progress analytics, and personalized recommendations.
• AI Processing — to generate training plans, provide coaching responses, and parse food entries from text and photos (see Section 3).
• Cloud Sync — to synchronize your data across devices so you can access it wherever you sign in.
• Service Operations — to enforce rate limits and maintain system reliability.
• Communications — to send account-related notifications. We do not send marketing emails without your consent.

3. AI Processing Disclosure

FuelForge uses the Anthropic Claude API to power several features:

• Plan Generation — your profile data (goals, experience, preferences) is sent to Claude to generate personalized workout plans.
• Food Parsing — text descriptions and photos of meals are sent to Claude for nutritional analysis.

Your data is not used to train AI models. Anthropic's API usage policies ensure that data sent through the API is not used for model training purposes. Data is transmitted securely and processed only to generate responses for your requests.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third-party services to operate FuelForge:

• Supabase — database hosting, user authentication, and data storage. supabase.com/privacy
• Anthropic (Claude API) — AI-powered plan generation, coaching, and food parsing. anthropic.com/privacy
• Edamam / FatSecret — food and nutrition database lookups. Connected via server-side API calls.
• Vercel — application hosting and serverless function execution. vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy

Each service processes data in accordance with their own privacy policies linked above. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in a Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL database with row-level security (RLS) enforcing per-user data isolation. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. API routes verify your authentication token on every request using a service-role client.

While we implement reasonable security measures, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

6. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access — you can view all data stored in your account through the app at any time.
• Export — you can request a full export of your data by contacting us.
• Deletion — you can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data. Contact us at the email below and we will process your request within 30 days.
• Disconnect — you can manage supported device connections through the app settings.
• Correction — you can update your profile and personal information directly within the app.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your data from our active databases within 30 days. Backups containing your data may persist for up to 90 days before being automatically purged.

8. Children's Privacy

FuelForge is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy within the app or by email. Your continued use of FuelForge after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
